Disc Brake Wheelset
Wheelsets for disc brakes are much the same as clincher wheelsets but they need to be stiffer to account for the different force exerted onto the wheel axle. This means they often weigh more than rim brake wheelsets to allow for the stability and braking performance needed.
These wheelsets also have the fittings to allow you to attach the disc rotor mechanism to the wheel, important for any disc brake to work effectively.
Although disc wheelsets require different characteristics to their rim brake counterparts, the quality of the materials and manufacture isn't compromised so you can convert to discs or upgrade your wheelset with piece of mind.
